Austin Schlater, SPT, CSCS, TSAC-F, ACE-CPT, is a certified strength and conditioning coach, tactical strength and conditioning facilitator, personal trainer, and future Doctor of Physical Therapy with over five years of experience in the health and fitness industry. He holds over a dozen certifications, including specialized training in orthopedic exercise (ACE-OES), corrective exercise (TBMM-CES), football preparation (CPPS-FPS), pain science (Integrative Pain Science Institute), pain-free movement (Function First PFMS), cognitive conditioning (Mind-Body 1 University), biomechanics (CBS), shoulder rehabilitation (Fitness Pain Free), and program design (PPDM). Austin has worked with various organizations, including The Flyght Academy, Totally Fit, The Edge, PT Services and Rehabilitation, Wayne Healthcare, Mary Rutan Health, Orion Sports Medicine, Marion Local High School, Wright State University - Lake Campus, and the University of Dayton. Before starting physical therapy school, he founded and operated his own personal training business, Curls in the Clinic, to help clients improve athletic performance and reduce injury risk. During his gap year, he co-authored a human anatomy and physiology lab manual and regularly presented review lectures for nursing students at Wright State - Lake Campus. Now, Austin works as a graduate assistant in the health and sports science department at the University of Dayton, studies as a full-time physical therapy student, and writes fitness and educational products for Curls in the Clinic.
